Dr. Alysha Croker is the Director of the Centre for Policy, Pediatrics and International Collaboration in the Health Products and Food Branch of Heath Canada. In this position, Dr. Croker is responsible for a number of policy and regulatory priorities, including developing ways to increase access to safe and effective health products for pediatric populations in Canada. Previously, Dr. Croker managed the Canada Excellence Research Chair and the Canada First Research Excellence Fund programs for Canada’s federal research funders. She also led the development of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research’s (CIHR) training and equity strategies where was awarded the CIHR Innovation Award. Dr. Croker has a PhD from Western University where she studied the molecular mechanisms of breast cancer metastasis and therapy resistance.
