Ian Stedman is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Policy and Administration at York University. He is cross-appointed to the graduate programs at Osgoode Hall Law School, Science and Technology Studies and in Socio-Legal Studies.
Being a person who lives with a rare genetic condition, Ian also advocates for the rare disease community and has a growing research program focusing on the technologies and policies driving greater personalization in healthcare. He currently serves on the Executive of the Canadian Rare Disease Network, as Vice Chair of the CIHR Institute of Genetics’ Institute Advisory Board and as Board Chair of the Canadian Autoinflammatory Network / Réseau Auto-inflammatoire Canadien.
