Jody Cox

Jody is Vice President of Federal and International Affairs with the Canadian Generic Pharmaceutical Association (CGPA), and has led federal, legal, intellectual property and international trade files on behalf of the off-patent pharmaceutical industry in Canada for the past 16 years.

Jody has concurrently served as Vice President of Biosimilars Canada, the CGPA’s biosimilar medicines division, since its inception in 2015. She is focused on improving policy and regulatory environments to support timely patient access to biosimilar medicines and the expanded use of these safe, efficacious and cost-effective treatments.

Jody has been actively engaged in the work of the International Generic and Biosimilar Medicines Association (IGBA) since 2009. She is Chair of the IGBA Global Biosimilars Week Task Force and Past Chair of the IGBA International Trade and Intellectual Property Committee.

Jody has more than 25 years of experience in public affairs and advocacy, primarily in the pharmaceutical and real estate sectors. She earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Carleton University.
